One of Sweden’s longest cave systems is “hidden” near Abisko. After packing our car with caving equipment and driving westwards for a few kilometers we hike up the mountainside to the entrance of a cave called “Kåppashåla”. Before our descent underground we put on overalls, helmets and headlamps and then the guide leads you down through a labyrinth of narrow passageways and fabulous formations created by water flowing for thousands of years.
Above ground again, we walk along Kåppasjåkka River where we can also pause to see waterfalls and giants’ kettles.
Included:
Cave guide, transport, caving equipment (helmet, overalls, lamp and boots). Transport to the Tourist Station not included.
Time: Monday & Friday 09:30, approximately. 4,5 hours
